How to be a great glamour photographer

Our next assignment in advance portraiture is to do a glamour photo shoot so I decided to look up some articles about how to be a great glamour photographer. I hope it helps with my next photo shoot. I'm excited but nervous at the same time.

Fill Flash

We've been learning how to use our flash for fill light in photography. I was going across some videos on youtube and came across a video about fill flash. It helped me out some, maybe it can help you out too.

Smoke Photography

I have always wanted to do smoke photography and I came across a youtube video about how to take and edit smoke photography. I can't wait to try it one day. I never thought it would look so easy. I think everyone should try this at least once.

Nikon SB-900 Flash

I bought the Nikon Sb-900 Flash for my Nikon D60. I have never used a flash before so I looked up this video on youtube to help me with the basics of learning how to use it better. 

Fourteen Tips for Photographing in Public

I was looking through articles and came across fourteen tips for shooting in public and decided to read it because I sometimes feel weird when trying to take pictures in public. It gave very helpful tips on what to do in certain 

situation. I think everyone should read this if they feel the same way i do when photographing in public.

Tips for Greener Photography: Greening Your Battery Usag

I was looking through articles and found an article by Jessica Riehl about how to be more green with your batteries and we all know we will never be able to completely get rid of batteries out of our camera bags but we can help the environment by doing certain things to make them last longer.

• Properly store your batteries.

• Recycle your batteries

• Buy the right battery

• Be smart about your battery consumption

Three Day Pictures

I put up more pictures on my flickr page of the breast cancer 3 day 2009! There was so much emotion and things going on! I really enjoyed cheering them on! I was very proud of my sister for walking the 60 miles! There were more men walking than I thought there would be!!

The Neubauers

My sister-in-law asked me to take some pictures of there kids. Here is my favorite of them all. My nephew Cooper was making some of the funniest faces and trying to eat my leg! It is hard to try and get three kids to look at you all at the same time with non of them blinking or making funny faces. It was diffidently a learning experience and can't wait to take more!!Check out my flickr page to view more images.

Nikon lens

Well I really want to get a new Nikon lens and not sure which one to get! I want a new 200mm F2 telephoto lens but I also want an awesome 24mm 2.8 wide angle lens help me decide which one to buy or if you know of another lens that I might like!!

One of our next assignments is a fashion photo shoot on location. I was just looking on the Internet for different fashion photographers and came across Toufic Araman who has some very unique fashion pictures that combine many different types of photography like painting with light.
